I love cats! But when Suzie decided to go for a wee this last time, I had to kick her outside for the night. Here is a diagram of the power setup for my computer:
Now imagine you introduced a lot of liquid into the multi-tap. Here is the sequence of events:
- Cat squatted
- I batted cat off multi-tap
- The UPS started beeping, saying it was overloading
- Lights go off and UPS said it had lost external power
- UPS overloads turning all connected equipment off
Turns out I don’t need Detective Dawg there to help me see the problem. I removed the multi-tap and it was almost completely full of cat wee. Not great. God knows how she got it in there because there were plugs in every socket =\
