pc games are cool and all ive played quite a few shooters like battlefield 2 and even their mods but ive had a few issues wit the pc. first u cant play 2 or 3 players with friends. oh yeah and gta4 wont be on it for quite some time... i do love shooters especially when they are 64 players but i dont know. i dont really have a super computer either lol. ive bought video cards and stuff but i think ill stick with the ps3 cause their near super computer almost.in fact if u gogle it people started testing the ps3 as a computer to make a super fast gaming super computer. one thing i dont understand is why the ps3 or xbox dont have like 64 player online yet, i know their cappable especially for the next gen stuff. they have alot of memory and speed. oh yeah and also i like zombie games, dead rising and a new title for the ps3 thats coming is called possesion, i dont know if youve heard of it but you get to be the zombies and go after the cops and it is suppose to have a huge online bit.

You should play Stubbs the Zombie. That was an awesome little game =)

I've just seen a video of Possession and I've got to say it looks almost exactly like Stubbs just without any of the humour that made Stubbs such a great game...

Other than the multiplayer aspect (which is perfectly true), I guess the other benefits of consoles are it's always there by your TV and it's dedicated to gaming (or multimedia at the most). You don't have to fight it to increase your framerate and it should work as an appliance.

That said, there's no reason you can't wire a PC up next to your TV. Many people already do that to use it as a media centre (something I think this generation of consoles really should have focused on more). Plug in a few wireless controllers and you're in big-screen-gaming heaven.

News just in: Home is being delayed. It was due to be released about now but it's being pushed back to 2008.

Sony needs to sack a few of the people it has generating the hype and hire a few more developers so they can actually deliver what their PR depart is promising.

What a big XBox noob fanboy.
PS3 is more expensive (or should i say, was?), because it is BETTER. Why should I pay for a crappy XBox that doesn't even have HD reader? That's old history. The future is HD (or should I say Blu-ray?).
Once again, Sony will win the console War. The nails on MS and XBox coffins keep on coming.
What I like the most on XBox is the "Red Ring of Death". Now that's funny. Good old Microsoft style.
Your post is rather old, and today, the PS3 has skyrocketed sales on Amazon.
I'll give u 5 reasons not to buy a XBox:

1-It sucks
2-It's old generation
3-No HD reader
4-It's god damn hugly
5-It's from Microsoft

XBox wont last 10 years. The PS3 will.

Let's review those reasons:
1) Price? The price dropped dude. Now it costs the same has the XBox, and you get some extras: HD Drive and WiFi.
2) Easyer to get then the Wii? What the? Is this a reason?!
3) Another reason to get and HD Tv?!?! Are u stupid? You don't need to get the HD Tv. Things will sure look better in a HD Tv, but it's not mandatory. I don't have an HD Tv and it still looks great. Also, did you know that HD Tv is coming in fast?
4) Motorstorm looks good but story sucks?! Wrong. Motorstorm looks awsome. Story line in a racing game?!?! WTF?! Hello!! It's a racing game. It's all about finishing first in a race!
5) Where did u got this info from? The price is the same. But if it were cheaper would be a good thing, not bad. Art u dumb?
6) You are rigth. It's a good value for a BR player. But don't forget something: BR discs are not only useful for movies. It's useful for Games too!! Even if BR loses the war, who cares? You will still have GAMES. The PS3 is a gaming console!!
7) Singstar??!?! Don't like it, don't buy it! What is this? Is this a reason not to get a PS3? How stupid can one be?
8) Might get rumble back? Wrong again. Rumble is back. Dualshock 3 is here.
9) Actualy BC is around 90%. I've already tried my best PS2 games on it, and all worked just fine.

I wish people would read before they replied. Please look at the third paragraph:

Yesterday The Register published 10 reasons why you should part with £425 (~$900) for a PS3. The reasons are so poor that I thought they might be joking as they often do but I don't think that's the case here.

The reasons are not my own but they were touted as the best reasons to buy a PS3.

You should also look at the date. The PS3 was on sale for about $900 here when I wrote this (not the case now). The Wii was more plentiful (not the case now because the Wii is still as popular as it was and keeps selling out). Most of the other points still stand.

Do you even go back and read how stupid this post and some of the comments are? Waste of space IMO. Get a job that does not involve flipping burgers and you can afford consoles also.
